dc.description.abstract-translatedThe paper focuses on the role of the appeal of the general prosecutor in the context of the current Slovak civil litigation process. Through the analysis of legislation and decision-making practice, the author examines the justification and practical application of this extraordinary remedy. At the same time, it evaluates its impact on legal certainty and justice in civil proceedings. Legal research brings significant insights into the function and limits of the Attorney General‘s appeal, drawing attention to problematic aspects of this institution, including its interference with the principle on which the civil litigation process is built. The conclusion of the paper also points to some problematic aspects of the institute in question.en
