Aktualizovaný výklad pojmu Tikun olam. V klasické rabínské literatuře se sousloví tikun olam vztahuje především k nápravě pokaženého společenského řádu. Nejstarší známé užití této formule nacházíme již v Talmudu, kde se jím myslí změna nebo úprava zákona tak, aby společnost dobře fungovala, aby byla dodržována spravedlnost, sociální smír, vymahatelnost práva a prosperita.
An updated interpretation of the concept of Tikun olam. In classical rabbinic literature, the phrase tikun olam refers primarily to correcting a broken social order. The earliest known use of this formula is found in the Talmud, where it refers to changing or modifying the law so that society functions well, so that justice, social harmony, law enforcement, and prosperity are upheld.
