dc.description.abstractTato práce je zaměřena na postavu alžbětinského dramatika a básníka Bena Jonsona v komplexu antického a renesančního vědění. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí. První část se zabývá převážně poetikou v antice. Jsou zde mapovány základní teze a význam Aristofana, Aristotela, Platóna a Horatia, neboť převážně tito myslitelé a autoři ovlivnili dílo Bena Jonsona. Druhá část se vyjadřuje k období renesance a vzniku renesančního humanismu v politicko-společenském kontextu alžbětinské Anglie. Třetí a nejrozsáhlejší část mapuje život a dílo Bena Jonsona. Je zde analyzován Jonsonův vztah k antickým vzorům, inspirace koncepty mimesis, estetického a morálního efektu poezie. V posledních částech práce je interpretován mimo jiné také náhled klasicistního básníka Johna Drydena na alžbětinskou poetiku a Bena Jonsona.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis focuses on the figure of the Elizabethan dramatist and poet Ben Jonson in a complex of ancient and Renaissance scholarship. The work is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the poetics of antiquity, and provides us the basic poetic thesis Aristophanes, Aristotle, Plato and Horatio, since these ancient authors, in particular, Horace most influenced the development of poetry, tragedy and comedy in the works of Ben Jonson. The second part deals with the origin and significance of Renaissance humanism. Renaissance is presented here as the period of return to ancient values. Mentioned are also essential contemporary traditions and customs of Elizabethan England. The third, most extensive part, covers the life and work of Ben Jonson. Is analyzed here Jonsons relationship to ancient authors, his theory of poetry as an imitation and mimesis purpose and dramatic work as an aesthetic and moral effect. At the end of the third part is subsequently put reflection classicist poet John Dryden on Jonson's work and aspects of Elizabethan poetics in general.en
