dc.description.abstract-translatedThe objective of this thesis was to describe and explain the nature and basic charachteristics of the existing concept of two regional states in Europe Spain and Italy. The thesis was primarily adressed to analyse the concept of regional state in the context of historical and also contemporary political processes and tendencies, as well as cultural, social and other aspects. In the first part of the thesis, some relevant key terms and basic theoretical categories were explained and clarified. The basic model sof state organization, such as unitary state, federation and regional state were presented. The second part introduced the comparative study of the Republic of Italy and the Kingdom of Spain. This part explained the concept of regional state in Italy and Spain, why they are organized in this was, historical background and also constitutional analysis of both countries. The last part focused on nationalism and active autonomist and secession movements.en
