dc.description.abstractTato bakalářská práce se se zabývá zapojením afrických států do peacekeepingových misí Africké unie. Cílem této práce je analyzovat motivy afrických států pro zapojení se do mírových misí v období od roku 2002 až 2017. Výzkumná otázka zní, proč se africké státy zapojují do peacekeepingových misí AU. V první kapitole se rozebírá definice peacekeepingu, jeho typy a nástroje, a obecné motivy států pro zapojení do mírových operací. Druhá kapitola se věnuje Africké unii a jejímu mechanismu řešení konfliktů. Následující část rozebírá proběhlé mise v Burundi, Súdánu, Komorských ostrovech, Somálsku, Mali a Středoafrické republice. Poslední kapitola se věnuje motivům afrických států pro zapojení do peacekeepingu, zejména bezpečnostním, politickým a ekonomickým důvodům.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis bachelor thesis is about the involvement of African states in the African Union's peacekeeping missions. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out reasons of the African states for joining to peacekeeping missions of the African Union. I assumed that African states have their reasons for joining to peacekeeping missions. In first part of thesis I introduced various definition of peacekeeping, typology and tools of peacekeeping. I also established general reasons of states for joining to peacekeeping missions. Next part of this thesis shows a new African mechanism of solving conflicts due to the establishment of the African Union. We could see some of its peacekeeping actions in the chapter about the peacekeeping missions of the AU. I mentioned some particular peacekeeping missions in Burundi, Sudan, Comoros, Somalia, Mali and Central African Republic. The final part of this bachelor thesis represents the motive of the African states for joining to peacekeeping missions, particular security, political and economic rationales.en
