dc.description.abstract-translatedLifetime estimation of plastic pipes installed underground is difficult mainly due to the unclear boundary conditions and the very long-time frame in which the material undergoes stress relaxation. This contribution investigates the possibility of using damage accumulation hypothesis to estimate time to crack initiation and lifetime more precisely.en
