dc.description.abstractCílem této bakalářské práce bylo zjistit jaké důvody a motivace vedly Rwandu ke vstupu do Commonwealthu, a dále jak vstup do Commonwealthu Rwandu ovlivnil v její vnitřní i zahraniční politice. Práce je rozdělena na čtyři části. Nejprve byl představen historický kontext Rwandy, který pomohl pochopit post-genocidní vývoj země a změnu orientace své zahraniční politiky na Velkou Birtánii. Ve druhé části byl pak představen přijímací proces, kde bylo konkrétně popsáno jak tento proces probíhal a změny, které s ním přišly. Práce se věnovala i otázce naplňování principů Commonwealthu ze strany Rwandy. V této části byly popsány jak často kritizované oblasti, ve kterých Rwanda zaostává, tak i oblasti ve kterých naopak vyniká. Nakonec byly analyzovány vztahy Rwandy s vybranými členskými zeměmi Commonwealthu, a to konkrétně s Velkou Británií, Jihoafrickou republikou, Ugandou a Tanzanií.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis bachelor thesis focused on the motivations and reasons that led Rwanda to join the Commonwealth and also how Rwanda's entry into the Commonwealth affected its internal and external politics. The thesis was divided into four parts. Initially, the historical context of Rwanda was presented to help understand the country's post-genocide development and the reorientation of its foreign policy towards the UK. The second part then introduced the admission process, describing specifically how this process took place and the changes that came with it. The paper also addressed the issue of Rwanda's implementation of the Commonwealth principles. This section described both the often criticized areas in which Rwanda has fallen short, as well as the areas in which it has, on the contrary, excelled. Finally, Rwanda's relations with selected Commonwealth member countries, namely the UK, South Africa, Uganda and Tanzania, were analysed.en
