dc.description.abstract-translatedThe article analyses special legal standing to protect the public interest under Section 66 of the Administrative Procedure Code, focusing on the activities of two privileged plaintiffs – the Public Defender of Rights and the Supreme State Prosecutor. Through an analysis of case law and statistical data, it maps the development and practice of filing such actions from 2003 to the present. The article identifies key differences in the procedural status of both plaintiffs and analyses their success rate in proceedings. Special attention is paid to the legislative development of this issue, including the currently discussed amendment to the Administrative Procedure Code. The text highlights long-discussed issues concerning different conditions for bringing an action and their possible unification.en
